Monthly Event - Every 2 months, First Saturday of the month: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PT)
The powerful animation tool Blender has been making headlines in 3D industries for several years now. Free and open source, it stands shoulder to shoulder with commercial 3D programs and often exceeds them. The Seattle Blender User Group (or SeaBUG) aims to connect Blender users together for the sharing of information and ideas, as well as attract new users all around the Pacific Northwest.
Come down to The Art Institute of Seattle's north campus for a day of tutorials, presentations, networking and good times. Beginners and veterans of Blender are all welcome, and lessons will cover a variety of skill levels and topics.
Additionally, SeaBUG is taking requests for tutorials. If you'd like to have a specific topic covered, click "Contact the Host" and an experienced Blender user will likely be able to prepare a lesson plan in advance.
One change will be made for SeaBUGs from here on out. Although Art Institute students and faculty can still enjoy walk-in priveleges at SeaBUG, others will have to RSVP. The Eventbrite RSVP list will be what is given to AIS security, which will be how they keep track of visitors.
The Art Institute of Seattle is an education leader for professional arts education in a variety of fields.
Prophetic Sky is a Bellevue game company which uses Blender exclusively for their 3D pipeline.
